Rob Butters, Ph.D.


Dr. Butters received his Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Utah. His professional interests are in the areas of forensic social work, prevention and treatment of sexual abuse, holistic treatment models, empathy training, child abuse and maltreatment, disproportionate minority representation in corrections, gender discrimination and gender specific treatment, use of technology in social work, psychometric instruments, and community-based research.

Erin Becker Worwood, M.C.J.

Associate Director, Senior Research Analyst

Erin received her Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Weber State University and has conducted criminal justice research in Utah for over a decade. Her primary research interests are in the areas of offender reentry, alternatives to incarceration, and problem-solving courts.

Kort Prince, Ph.D.

Research Assistant Professor

Kort received his PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Utah in 2004. Since that time, he has worked as a statistical analyst and program evaluation specialist in medical and human behavior research, participating in the design, analysis and reporting for numerous research projects. Special interest areas include: longitudinal mixed models and generalized mixed models.

Christian Sarver, M.S.W.

Senior Research Analyst

Christian has 15 years experience in victim services. She received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Utah and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Social Work. Her primary interests include the design and evaluation of programs to prevent sexual and domestic violence,  the evaluation of multi-disciplinary sexual assault response teams, offender reentry, and homelessness.

Jessica Seawright, M.S.W.

Research Analyst

Jessica received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Utah and has worked with the Utah Criminal for over four years as a Research Assistant supporting projects in the areas of offender reentry, homelessness, program evaluation, and providing technical assistance. She looks forward to partnering with community-based programs to provide technical assistance and promote access to research.
